If you love fresh fish, then you are going to love Something Fishy. We are passionate about selling fresh local fish and shellfish to our customers – both retail and wholesale. You can’t get much fresher than our crabs and lobsters caught early morning in the sea around East Wittering and sold in our shop from mid-morning onwards.

Adam and his team have been catching fish and selling in West Sussex for over 26 years.

Our traditional fishmongers shop is situated in the middle of The Parade, East Wittering. We have a wide selection of fish, shellfish, crabs and lobsters.

If you are looking for fresh crab or lobster for a summer salad; oysters, cockles, muscles or scallops to make a seafood platter; or some seasonal white fish – turbot, bass, brill or dover sole to make a hearty fish supper, then we have what you need.

Our experienced team know their cod from their bass, their whelks from their cockles, so come in and see us.

Fresh fish caught daily

Much of the fish that we sell is a couple of hours old and our crabs and lobsters are alive until ordered. We also sell imported fish and are happy to supply you with bones, heads etc for Oriental cooking and stock-making.

Sustainable fishing

Our inshore fishermen have been fishing for many years. They are never at sea for more than 12 hours, so the fish is less than a day old when landed. They are restricted by weather so please pre-order if you require something special as seasonality and the weather can affect the seafood you may require. The majority of our fleet is under 10 metres thus having their own quota system. This eliminates the need for discarding fish. Even our anglers are only allowed to retain one seabass per day, per person.
